Awesome Fest is an Extreme Sports Festival, with a mixture of entertainment from Drifting Shows, MotoX, BMX, Skateboarding & many other forms of exciting events to fill your weekend with. The 2011 Drifting Season Kicks Off!

The 2010 Championship winning combination of Phil Morrison and the Driftworks S15 Silvia are back for 2011, supported once again by the UK’s best company for modified car insurance - Sky Insurance.

After the most abusive season of drifting the 720bhp DWS15 has ever seen, the car was looking a bit tired at the end of last year, so the Driftworks guys put up a little competition on their drifting forums to design a new livery. The response was immense, and the team had a hard decision to make, choosing from hundreds of designs.
But a decision was made and after two weeks of secrecy and intense preparation, the new Driftworks S15 was unveiled at The British Drift Championship Round 1 Donington Park to an amazing reception.


Team owner Phil Morrison wrote:  “We’re so proud to have Sky Insurance on board again for 2011. We’ve got a fresh new livery, and a fresh new outlook on the drifting season. We will be flying the Driftworks and Sky Insurance flags at rounds of the British Drift Championship, Drift Allstars (previously JDM Allstars) and various stand alone events like Japfest and Awesomefest throughout the season. If you’re at the show please come and say hello”.

Driftworks Team Wins 2010 British Drifting Championship

Congratulations to Phil Morrison of the Driftworks Team, sponsored by Sky Insurance, for his victory at Knockhill in Round 5 to clinch the British Drifting Championship 2010 title. Yet again Phil and the excellent Driftworks Team show their dominance of this growing motor sport by taking the title. Being Driftworks headline sponsor, this makes us all at Sky Insurance very proud!

If ever you needed to see why the British Drifting Championships are so popular, watch this amazing film, which totally captures the scene, the mood and the excitement involved with the 2010 Championship. We felt this film was too good not to share with others.

Look out for next year's BDC events and if you get the opportunity to get along there, you will probably see Sky Insurance there also.
